Eddie and I went on a Stay-cation- a get away to a town 45 minutes from Salt Lake called Midway. We did all kinds of crazy things like go to the outlet mall, order dessert at the Mexican restaurant, and fall asleep to Goonies in the hotel room before our usual bedtime. We woke and worked out and then stuffed ourselves with delicious bagel renditions of sandwiches and french toast. It was great! All week, we looked forward to our stay-cation- just to do something out of the ordinary and splurge a little before our lives will be changed forever. We are so thankful to get away for a night and feel so refreshed in our marriage. And I suppose we are as ready as we can be for this boy to come. We did get to go swimming in the Homestead Crater which is a natural pool that looks like a giant beehive filled halfway with naturally hot water. It was very relaxing. As we came back down to Salt Lake, we were greeted with yet another blizzard and later had to dig the car out so that Ed could go to work tonight.
